Law enforcement officers have detained one person for violence against comedian Onise Okriashvili, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the agency, the police arrested the accused after he arrived at the police station.
“Officers of the Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of violence.
The investigation established that on July 22 of this year, in Tbilisi, the accused assaulted Onise Okriashvili and fled the scene.
Soon after the crime was committed, one person appeared at the Vake-Saburtalo Police Department and was arrested by law enforcement officers as a suspect.
The investigation is underway under Article 126 of the Criminal Code. Relevant investigative actions are ongoing,” reads the information.
