Irakli Nadiradze, a member of the United National Movement, who is imprisoned in relation to the October 4 case, states that despite the offer, he will not consider signing a plea agreement, admitting "crime" or asking for pardon.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Nadiradze notes that he is participating in court proceedings to show that he does not give up and is fighting for the country's dignity, freedom and European future.

Nadiradze believes that in today's reality, justice cannot be achieved in courtrooms, but through a united, relentless struggle, self-sacrifice and steadfast resistance!

Nadiradze concludes his statement with a call: “Fight to the end.”

“Since the issue of a plea agreement in the October 4 case has once again been put on the agenda, I will start by saying from the beginning that, despite the public offer of the prosecutor’s office, I do not intend to sign any plea agreement, nor admit “crime” nor ask for pardon, nor will I even consider it!

I go to the courts not to seek justice in the courts of the Russian regime, but so that people can see that we are still brave, still smiling, still not giving up and still fighting for the dignity, freedom and European future of our country! In a country where people are arrested, fined, and sent to detention centers and prisons for political statements, writing on banners, standing on the sidewalk, or Facebook comments, justice is not achieved through words spoken in courtrooms or legal arguments, but through a united, relentless struggle, self-sacrifice, and steadfast resistance!

Of course, the 7-year sentence, considering the flow of time in prison, is not a small sentence... It is not easy to look at your tearful, young children who see their father once a month, from behind glass, but it is better for my children today to miss their father in prison than for our children, our future generations, to live in an independent and free Georgia tomorrow! Yes, this is a fight for the children of Georgia, for its future generations, because not a single child of this country will be left to live in the Russian dictatorship or in the restored Soviet Union! Therefore, not a single step back, fight to the end! We will win in the end!
