Paata Burchuladze – There is a call on those detained in the October 4 case to accept a plea bargain and be released from illegal detention - I cannot discuss the issue of my release until the last patriot detained in the case leaves prison

Singer Paata Burchuladze, who is detained in the October 4 case, calls on all detainees to accept the plea bargain offered by the prosecutor's office and be released from "illegal detention."

As Burchuladze writes in an appeal distributed on social networks, the possibility of release from prisons should be used, in which there is nothing humiliating or degrading.

He emphasizes the issue of Academician Giorgi Chakhunashvili.

"My great request and appeal to those detained in the October 4 case is for everyone to accept the plea bargain offered by the prosecutor's office and be released from illegal imprisonment.

I also stated this in court and now I am personally appealing to all of you!

With almost ten months of illegal imprisonment, we have proven our unity and perseverance. This is already part of history and will become even more evident in the future. Today, in order to continue the struggle, it is important to be outside, to release people from prisons. We must use this opportunity. There is nothing humiliating or degrading in this. A similar practice has been used many times by political prisoners.

I especially appeal to Academician Giorgi Chakhunashvili, who saved me from the severe consequences of the gas spray on October 4. As a respected and elderly prisoner, I ask him to set an example for everyone and take this step. His health and being outside are very important.

As for me, I cannot discuss the issue of my release, one of the organizers of the protest, until the last patriot arrested in the October 4 case leaves prison.

Victory is inevitable. Fight to the end!", - writes Burchuladze.
