Employees of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested two foreign citizens who were wanted under an Interpol Red Notice.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees were being sought internationally at the request of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey.

“As a result of investigative activities, law enforcement officers arrested the wanted individuals at different times in Batumi. Currently, the extradition procedures provided for by law are underway regarding the detainees,” the statement says.
