The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released a statement about the individuals detained during the rally near the Tbilisi City Assembly.
According to the ministry, 10 individuals were detained for holding "offensive banners".
"Officers of the Patrol Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 10 individuals in the vicinity of the Tbilisi City Assembly for holding offensive banners in a public space. In addition, they uttered offensive phrases, violated public order, and resisted law enforcement officers.
The police officers arrested the individuals under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses," reads the statement.
