Georgian citizen, illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Perevi, has been released

A Georgian citizen illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Perevi, Sachkhere Municipality, has been released.

According to the State Security Service, he is currently in the territory controlled by the central government.

“The central government has used all relevant tools at its disposal to release the illegally detained Georgian citizen, including the “hotline” operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM). The State Security Service continues to work continuously to release every citizen of Georgia illegally detained in the occupied territories,” reads the information.
