The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the decision taken by the executive body of the Republic of Nauru, the Cabinet of Nauru, to terminate diplomatic relations “between the Republic of Nauru and the Republic of South Ossetia, also known as the State of Alania” and “between the Republic of Nauru and the Republic of Abkhazia”.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision once again confirms that respect for and observance of the norms of international law are the basis of healthy international relations.

“Georgia expresses its readiness to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Nauru and promote the intensification of bilateral cooperation based on common interests,” reads the information.
