According to her, employees of the Public Broadcaster do not have the right to express their own opinion in public space, on social networks, on their own pages.

For example, we have internal regulations. The law has the word "impartiality" written in bold. Social media is not a space, they say it is my space. As a lawyer, you should understand this best and I am sure you understand. This is the most powerful information medium, which, according to all kinds of research and statistics, is stronger than "Channel One" or any other TV channel, not only in Georgia, but in the world. This is a fact. Therefore, "I wrote a post on my social network", this a priori is incorrect. This means that you have given yourself the right to express a biased opinion in public space, which no employee of the Public Broadcaster has the right to do. Yes, we do not have the right to express our own opinion, not on social networks, on our own walls, but in public space. Yes, we will be very strict so that they do not express their biased opinion,” said Tinatin Berdzenishvili.

For information, Lasha Tughushi, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster, asked Tinatin Berdzenishvili why she allows herself to deduct a third of her employees’ salaries or fire them for a “post” shared on social networks.

"Why did you punish your employees, for example, for sharing posts? This is your position that if an employee shares a post, you allow yourself to deduct, for example, a third of their salary? For example, you deducted 30% of Ms. Sinitsa's salary, warned Mr. Chimakadze and told him that if he shared the "post" a second time, you would fire him. I'm not saying anything about old stories when you fired employees for certain opinions or views - Zautashvili, Chikovani. Why do you allow yourself to do this?! There may be some internal regulations, but there is a constitution, Georgian legislation that allows a person to share someone else's "post". It basically falls within the freedom of expression," Lasha Tugushi said.
