It is very sad that Tina Bokuchava has chosen this path of fighting her own party, - one of the leaders of the United National Movement, Petre Tsiskarishvili, told journalists.

As Tsiskarishvili noted, no one will give the Georgian Dream any excuse or reason to not register the United National Movement party.

“At this stage, all procedures have been observed. After the congress, they will definitely be observed so that our organization - National Movement, which is holding its 13th congress, can register and renew the authority of all elected officials at the House of Justice after this congress. Whatever decisions the 13th congress will make. Therefore, no one will give the Georgian Dream any excuse or reason not to register the party,” said Petre Tsiskarishvili.

To the journalists’ question, “Is Tina Bokuchava giving the Georgian Dream a reason to create technical problems for the party?” Petre Tsiskarishvili replied that “no one will be able to find such reasons because there was a quorum and the political council is legitimate.”

“There are not 130, but 119 members in that political council. Much more people were present than the 40 or so members of the political council. Therefore, there is no problem at all. It is very unfortunate if Tina Bokuchava chose this path of fighting her own party. I assume that the Georgian Dream will be happy to have additional searches in our documents based on these hints, but by the time we submit the documentation to the House of Justice, which we will submit after the end of the congress, I am sure that everything will be meticulously and accurately preserved, no one will be able to dispute anything with us and they will not harm us,” Tsiskarishvili said.

For information, the current chairperson of the United National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, did not attend the congress of the party, which was held on July 30. Tina Bokuchava said on TV Pirveli on August 1 that the meeting of the party's political council held on July 30 was not authorized, because the political council consists of 130 people, and about 40 people attended the meeting. According to her, “the manipulation of the quorum and the collection of post-facto signatures and the assertion that the quorum was formed by people who were not physically present at the session and were involved remotely are very similar to the “cheating” methods that Ivanishvili has been operating with for the past 14 years.”
