Officers of the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two individuals on charges of violent robbery.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accused physically assaulted a foreign citizen on one of the streets in Tbilisi, stole mobile phones and money, after which they fled the scene.

"As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, 2 perpetrators of the crime were arrested.

Active investigative actions continue in connection with the fact. The investigation is underway under Article 178 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years," reads the information.
