Since the 2008 Russian invasion of Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia remain occupied, Finland firmly supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, - Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen writes in a post on the social platform X.

"Since the 2008 Russian invasion of Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia remain occupied. Finland firmly supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We call on Russia to fulfill its commitments under the 2008 ceasefire agreement," - the head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry stated.
