“7 August 2008, Russia started its war against Georgia. The world called for calm and drew the wrong lesson. GEO was the warning — Crimea, Donbas and the full-scale war on Ukraine followed the same imperial script of Kremlin. 18 years on, a fifth of Georgia is still occupied.
Today we remember all who suffered in this war and honour the heroes who defended their homeland”, she wrote.
