The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained two people in connection with the violence and threats against Adjara Television employee Koba Partenadze.
According to the agency, the investigation is underway under Article 126 of the Criminal Code, which refers to violence.
“Officers of the Batumi City Division of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 2 individuals in connection with the facts of violence and threats that occurred in Batumi.
The investigation revealed that one of the detainees, who is accused of violence, physically assaulted a person in Batumi during an argument on August 9 of this year. Shortly after the incident, another person detained as a defendant threatened to stab him with a knife.
As a result of investigative actions, law enforcement officers detained both men as defendants.
The investigation is underway under Articles 126 and 151 of the Criminal Code,” the MIA said.
