The Minister of Health, Mikheil Sarjveladze, visited those injured as a result of the traffic accident on Gomi Mountain.

The Minister familiarized himself with the patients’ health condition at the Batumi Republican Hospital and the Chokhatauri medical facility.

11 people injured in the accident that occurred on Gomi Mountain have been transferred to the Batumi Republican Hospital.

For information, last night a tourist minibus fell into a ravine on Gomi Mountain, as a result of which 4 people died.

According to available information, the minibus was being driven by a Georgian citizen; his life is not in danger. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia are present at the scene. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 276, which concerns violation of the rules of transport traffic that resulted in the loss of human life.
