The Court of Appeals has cancelled the restraining order against Ioseb Sigua

The Court of Appeals has cancelled the restraining order issued against the former high-ranking police official, former head of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ioseb Sigua.

As a reminder, Ioseb Sigua’s wife, Sopio Sigua-Shatberava, stated on “Nodar Meladze’s Saturday” that Ioseb Sigua had threatened her with murder, throwing her from the 12th floor, putting her in a barrel and burying her.

Based on the victim’s application, a restraining order had been issued against Ioseb Sigua. As for electronic monitoring via an electronic bracelet, it was cancelled after the expiration of the relevant term.
