Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze has appointed Ioseb Alibegashvili as State Governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti, the Georgian Government Administration reports.

According to the administration, Irakli Kobakhidze met with Ioseb Alibegashvili at the Government Administration together with Vice Prime Minister Mamuka Mdinaradze.

“The Head of Government met with the newly appointed State Governor together with the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development Mamuka Mdinaradze, at the Government Administration.

The meeting discussed planned and ongoing projects in the region.

Irakli Kobakhidze wished Ioseb Alibegashvili success in his future activities.

Ioseb Alibegashvili has been holding the position of Deputy State Governor in Kvemo Kartli to date,” the information says.
