According to Irakli Pavlenishvili, Chairman of the Governing Board of the United National Movement, Georgia did not join the sanctions adopted by the European Union against Iran, which clearly shows where “Georgian Dream” stands today.

As Pavlenishvili noted at today’s briefing, the issue concerns sanctions against a regime that is a financier of terrorism and the main enemy of the United States.

“We are talking about a regime that unequivocally stands on the side of the countries of the axis of evil. On the international arena, a number of decisions have been made by Ivanishvili’s regime that clearly show where Ivanishvili’s ‘Dream’ stands in this civilizational confrontation. We are talking about sanctions against a regime that is a financier of terrorism, including the main enemy of the United States in the region. Therefore, it is clear what it means when Georgia does not appear in any decision, including in terms of sanctions. Unfortunately, it is already no longer surprising to anyone that Georgia does not join the European Union’s sanctions policy and has held such a position for the past years,” Pavlenishvili stated.
