The Wounded Warrior Support Foundation continues to support Georgia's military servicemen and veterans. Donations received in 2026 amounted to GEL 561,749, of which GEL 335,831 was directed toward the health, professional re-skilling and educational programs of wounded warriors and their family members. By August, the Foundation had allocated funding to 74 beneficiaries.

During the reporting period, the Foundation's assistance comprised:

• GEL 128,981 — 50% co-financing for 11 beneficiaries;
• GEL 64,677 — funding for two emergency surgeries;
• GEL 61,564 — support for beneficiaries' underage children;
• GEL 40,030 — medical services;
• GEL 20,846 — support for beneficiaries' spouses;
• GEL 11,821 — education and professional re-skilling;
• GEL 6,925 — medicines;
• GEL 987 — adaptation of the living environment.

Silknet founded the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation in 2018 and remains its principal donor, contributing GEL 300,000 annually. A range of companies and private individuals also give to the Foundation. The Foundation stands by the military servicemen and veterans who sustained severe physical injuries in the wars for the territorial integrity of Georgia and in international peace missions. It also finances the medical needs of beneficiaries' spouses and a range of educational and professional re-skilling courses, giving them the opportunity to find employment and take up a new profession.

A New Profession for the Spouses of Military Servicemen

The Wounded Warrior Support Foundation has laid the groundwork for a long-term project offering the spouses of wounded warriors and veterans professional re-skilling and a route to self-employment. Under the program, beneficiaries complete a six-month course in garment construction and sewing at the "New Career" training center.

Participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills — operating embroidery and sewing machines, garment modelling, and the full production cycle. On completing the course, they will be able to take up employment, start a small business of their own and improve their family's financial standing.

The Foundation's Investment in the Education of the Next Generation

The Wounded Warrior Support Foundation devotes particular attention to educational activities. A dedicated course in computer programming and English has been developed for the underage children of veterans and will start in September.

The underage children of wounded servicemen also take part in workshops and trainings held at the SABADO school in Manglisi. Last year the Foundation signed a memorandum with the SABADO Leadership Academy, established on the initiative of Davit Bejuashvili's Education Fund. The activities held at SABADO are available free of charge to the underage children of the Foundation's beneficiaries, who joined eight different thematic programs over 2025–2026 — among them local self-government, management and economics, diplomacy and international relations, crisis management, and political systems and their governance. They also have access to the international programs SABADO delivers with its partners, Harvard and Stanford Universities: a leadership course (Harvard) and political psychology in social media (Stanford).

Long-Term Support for the Military Sports Teams

The Foundation is an active supporter of the wounded warrior sports team of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, which competes in tournaments across a range of sports. To advance the psychological and physical rehabilitation of beneficiaries, the Foundation has over the years equipped the wheelchair basketball and archery teams with specialized sports equipment, in cooperation with the British international charity Invictus Games Foundation. This long-term support enables wounded servicemen to succeed in parasport tournaments. Most recently, the Foundation financed the purchase of 10 rugby chairs, forming a further sports team of wounded warriors. The military sports teams will now prepare for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, UK.

The annual charity run in support of wounded warriors, initiated by the Association of Military Attachés in Tbilisi, has become a tradition. For the third year running, military attachés of various countries are holding the event together with the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation, with the aim of raising public awareness of the Foundation's work. All proceeds from registration are transferred in full to the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation.
