According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an initial examination of the body of Abkhaz blogger Daur Buava, who was found dead in Tbilisi, revealed no signs of violence.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs told Interpressnews that Buava’s body has been transferred to the Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, where a forensic examination is being conducted.
For reference, Daur Buava was found dead in his apartment in Tbilisi. The cause of death is currently unknown, although he is believed to have been dead for several days. According to unofficial reports, there was a “strong smell of rotten meat” in the building, prompting neighbors to call a rescue team.
Rescuers found the Abkhaz blogger dead upon entering the apartment.
An investigation is underway under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which concerns bringing a person to suicide.
