According to him, Mamuka Mdinaradze was sent home by “the decision of a specific person.”

“It is a fact that Mamuka Mdinaradze did not belong to himself. He did not have the ability or the skills to make decisions himself about what position he would hold or whether he would hold one at all. Accordingly, just as he came from nowhere, today he has been sent nowhere, by the decision of a specific person. He was sent home without any advice or instructions.

“We all remember that, at one point, the Ministry of Regional Development was created for Liluashvili. You remember very well what fate Liluashvili ultimately met. We do not rule out the possibility that Mamuka Mdinaradze could meet the same fate in a few months.

“As for the abolition of this particular ministry - ‘Georgian Dream’ had an initiative to create the position of State Minister. From the very beginning, we said that this would specifically be for Mamuka Mdinaradze, just as the position of coordinator for relations with the security agencies was created for Mamuka Mdinaradze. Naturally, now that Mamuka Mdinaradze has been removed from both politics and his position and sent home, there is no need to create a post for Mdinaradze. Accordingly, naturally, this position cannot be created,” Parulava said.

For reference, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said that the position of State Minister for Regional Policy would no longer be created, while the Ministries of Regional Development and Infrastructure would likely be merged again.
