Law enforcement officers have arrested a person in connection with a premeditated murder that occurred in the village of Nasakirali, Ozurgeti. According to the information released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect secretly broke into the woman's house and inflicted life-threatening, multiple injuries with a cold weapon, after which he fled.

"The officers of the Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of premeditated murder.

The investigation established that on August 28, the accused secretly broke into the house of a citizen in the village of Nasakirali, Ozurgeti Municipality, with the aim of premeditated murder. He inflicted life-threatening, multiple injuries on a woman in the house with a cold weapon and fled the scene.

As a result of the injuries sustained, the woman died at the scene.

As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, the perpetrator of the crime was arrested as a suspect.

The investigation is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years," reads the information.
