According to the prosecutor in the Abkhazian blogger Daur Buava death case, Davit Kazarashvili, the detainees - Saba Bochorishvili and Givi Gudadze, say that they had themselves taken the narcotics that reached Daur Buava and felt bad, although none of them reported the consequences to Buava.

According to the prosecutor, one of the defendants claims that in the past, together with Daur Buava, he himself had consumed narcotics that belonged to him.

“They themselves took the narcotics that reached Daur Buava. Both defendants themselves state in their testimonies that they felt bad as a result of taking these narcotics. However, none of them reported to Buava or the third defendant that such a consequence followed the use of the narcotics. Of course, this is an aggravating circumstance from a moral point of view.

The defendant states that he found these narcotics, and of course, we are continuing the investigation in this direction. We will do everything to determine where they got these narcotics from.

One of the two defendants is accused, among other crimes, of directly giving the narcotics to the third defendant, who she then used together with Daur Buava, and one of the defendants, who is charged with purchasing and storing narcotics, has himself stated that in the past he had used drugs with Buava, which belonged to him, he had obtained them. It is mainly about marijuana, although there were other drugs as well.

Both of them worked at a food facility and they met Daur Buava there and formed a relationship. One of them had known him for months, the other one met him a month ago. [They had a relationship] mainly related to drugs,” said Prosecutor Davit Kazarashvili.

He states that transferring drugs to another person is a crime and calls on the public to refrain from all such actions.

"I want to appeal to the public, I want everyone to know that those who have participated in the distribution of narcotics, or are still doing so today, can have very serious consequences for their actions. Therefore, my call is for everyone to think carefully about what they are doing. Moreover, transferring narcotics to another person, even for free, is a crime. I call on everyone to refrain from all such actions," the Prosecutor said.
