Ministry of Internal Affairs says Tamaz Elizbarashvili was detained on administrative charges for disobeying lawful order of police officers

Businessman Tamaz Elizbarashvili has been arrested under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Georgia, which pertains to disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer. InterpressNews was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Businessman Tamaz Elizbarashvili was recently arrested during a search of his own apartment. Law enforcement officers handcuffed Elizbarashvili and put him in a police car. There was noise at the scene.

Earlier, the police conducted investigative actions in his car. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the search of Tamaz Elizbarashvili's car was conducted within the framework of the investigation ongoing into the case of threats and illegal purchase and storage of weapons.
