Russian-born activist Denis Kulanin will not be deported to Russia — he has been given one week to leave Georgia

Russian-born activist Denis Kulanin will not be deported to Russia — the information was released by “Rights Georgia.”

According to the organization, Kulanin has been given seven days to leave Georgia.

“Denis Kulanin will not be deported to Russia. The court gave Kulanin seven days to leave Georgia. Today, Tbilisi City Court Judge Leila Poladashvili considered and granted, without an oral hearing, a motion by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to deport Denis Kulanin, who had been granted asylum, from the territory of Georgia.

Denis Kulanin was given seven days to voluntarily leave the territory of Georgia.

‘Rights Georgia’ continues to protect Denis Kulanin’s interests until he departs for a third, safe country,” the statement reads.
