Officers of the Isani-Samgori Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a minor on charges of gang robbery, and have exposed another minor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

"The investigation conducted by law enforcement officers revealed that minors attacked a taxi driver in Tbilisi with a cold weapon, threatened to kill him, extorted money from him, and fled the scene of the incident.

As a result of hot pursuit and investigative actions, the police arrested one of the minors as a suspect, while measures prescribed by law are being taken against the second minor.

The investigation is underway under Article 179 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 9 years," reads the information.
