Former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, has released another letter from the Rustavi prison, accusing the government of a "disgusting and tragic" masquerade.

The ex-premier calls the investigation launched after one of his last letters, within the framework of which opposition politicians were questioned, frivolous.

Gharibashvili appeals to the government not to "falsely strive" for "ridiculous and weak" methods, because just as "water and oil do not mix", it is impossible to connect him and the National Movement with each other!

In the letter, Garibashvili writes ironically about the information related to him that he is an agent of the "deep state" and France and notes: "I am lucky that I do not know other foreign languages, otherwise, they would probably declare me an "agent" of other countries as well".

In the letter, Garibashvili again addresses his teammates that he is not fighting anyone and that they have stabbed him in the back.

"The panic reaction and absolutely inadequate behavior of the government have completely lustrated the system. The society has seen another ridiculous and, at the same time, completely disgusting and tragic masquerade of the government.

Instead of the government providing timely and transparent explanations regarding specific facts and questions asked, we have seen a series of frivolous inquiries, one of the main goals of which was to connect me with the National Movement and present the process as if it were all planned in advance and the result of coordinated work with the radical opposition.

“Also, these days I found out that I was an agent of the “deep state” and, at the same time, an agent of France. I am lucky that I do not know other foreign languages, otherwise, they would probably declare me an “agent” of other countries as well...

I would like to give the following answer to the government regarding this ridiculous and weak propaganda method: Just as water and oil do not mix, it is impossible to connect me and the National Movement!

I would like to remind the public that, as I have learned, an investigation into the case of Lazare Jorbenadze’s suicide has been ongoing for almost five months, although the people and journalists who have been asking questions publicly all this time have not been questioned to this day. Instead, as soon as my letter was published, they immediately began to question all those people who publicly responded to my letter.

Stop playing these dirty political games against me! People know who Irakli Gharibashvili is, and our society distinguishes very well between my word and your word. People also know very well that I serve neither the West, nor the East, nor the North, nor the South. I serve Georgia!

In recent days, I have heard many unworthy, false and hypocritical statements and comments. Perhaps they expect me to give an answer, but I want to tell them that they are not even worthy of an answer from me. I only want to answer Shalva Papuashvili: Shalva, this is not a legal process - this is ruthless political persecution!

Here, I would like to remind everyone once again: I am not fighting anyone - you stabbed me in the back... And now I am forced to defend myself and my family from this injustice and cruelty,” Gharibashvili wrote.
