According to one of the leaders of “Lelo – Strong Georgia,” Tazo Datunashvili, the government is not interested in the daily problems of Georgian citizens and attention has been shifted to the so-called corruption issues.

As Datunashvili stated on PalitraNews’ programme “Resume,” corruption for the government is not an individual case but a form of governance.

“The entire process that is taking place inside ‘Georgian Dream’ – clan confrontation – points to a simple thing: that ‘Georgian Dream’ is a party that is not interested in the interests of Georgian citizens, their daily problems. Instead of solving the problems of Georgian citizens, they care about stolen tens of millions of dollars, gold bars at home, expensive cars – this is what they care about; they do not care about the country’s daily problems. We should not forget that corruption is not a side effect; it is a model of governance.

The public is being told not a half-truth, but a total lie that turns into idiocy. This model no longer works; Bidzina Ivanishvili can no longer control all the components of this model.

The public needs answers on social topics. The position of ‘Strong Georgia’ is that you cannot kill corruption in this country until we get rid of Ivanishvili’s government. The position of ‘Strong Georgia’ is to show the public an alternative. This is normal governance based on common sense,” Datunashvili stated.
