I am proud of Western sanctions, - former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Romanov-Partskhaladze told the Russian state-run TASS news agency.
“My main principle has always been one thing: justice, order and discipline. It was precisely because of my love of truth, my strong patriotic position and my refusal to play by Western rules that I came under unprecedented pressure. I was twice included in the sanctions lists of the US, the EU and the UK. However, these sanctions are like an order for truth for me,” - said Otar Romanov-Partskhaladze.
According to him, “On May 9, 2025, after the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the parade, I decided to begin military service as part of the Volunteer Corps “Arbat”.
“After completing military service in “Arbat”, my associates and I decided to create the international volunteer unit “Georgievsky”, - noted Otar Romanov-Partskhaladze.
For information, the former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Romanov-Partskhaladze formed the volunteer unit “Georgievsky” in Russia. According to Romanov-Partskhaladze, the name of the unit is associated with the Georgievski Treaty, “which played a huge role in the history of the Georgian people”.
According to Partskhaladze, he made the decision to fight on the side of Russia against Ukraine of his own free will.
