Due to an international event (the Red Bull Soapbox Race), traffic on Europe Square and adjacent streets will be restricted in stages between September 11 and 14, Tbilisi City Hall reports

According to the statement, the restrictions will be implemented in two phases: the first from 20:00 on September 11 to 22:00 on September 12, and the second from 22:00 on September 12 to 03:00 on September 14. "In the first stage, from 8:00 PM on September 11 to 10:00 PM on September 12, traffic will be temporarily restricted on Ghvini Ascent and Dutu Megreli Street. Additionally, two traffic lanes on Metekhi Bridge (in the direction of Europe Square) will be restricted, as well as one outer lane on Europe Square itself, extending to the start of Noe Zhordania Embankment.

In the second stage, from 10:00 PM on September 12 to 3:00 AM on September 14, vehicular traffic will be completely restricted on Europe Square, Metekhi Bridge, Ghvini Ascent, Dutu Megreli Street, and the section of Noe Zhordania Embankment connecting to Europe Square.

Vehicles will be able to travel from Vakhtang Gorgasali Square onto Kote Abkhazi Street. On the right bank of the Mtkvari River, vehicles will be able to move from Gorgasali Street towards Zviad Gamsakhurdia Embankment, as well as from Gorgasali Square towards Kote Abkhazi Street and from Tumaniani Street towards Gorgasali Street.

For public transport routes that normally pass through Europe Square," Traffic routes will be altered. Specifically, municipal buses Nos. 102, 301, 310, 331, and 345, as well as minibuses Nos. 550 and 580—which normally travel from Gorgasali Street toward Baratashvili Bridge and Baratashvili Street via Metekhi Bridge, Europe Square, and Noe Zhordania Embankment—will instead proceed from Gorgasali Street to Kote Abkhazi Street, continue from Freedom Square toward Baratashvili Street, and then follow their established routes.

Regarding route No. 333: while traveling toward Ketevan Dedofali Avenue, the bus will no longer enter Europe Square from Kosta Khetagurovi Street; instead, it will head toward Baratashvili Bridge, turn onto Baratashvili Street, cross the bridge again to connect to Baratashvili Ascent, and then proceed along its established route," the statement reads.
