Giorgi Baramidze is being arrested for "treason"—a charge for which Russians had already tried him in absentia; this is the madness in which Ivanishvili keeps people living—Khatia Dekanoidze, a leader of the National Movement, writes on social media.
"Ivanishvili had Partskhaladze as Chief Prosecutor—a Russian spy and a traitor;
Georgians are being persecuted and summoned to court for 'insulting' Simonyan.
They have tethered the Georgian economy to Russia and speak to us with the arrogance of a new Treaty of Georgievsk.
Meanwhile, Baramidze is being arrested for 'treason'—a charge for which Russians had already tried him in absentia.
This is the madness in which Ivanishvili keeps people living," writes Dekanoidze.
Giorgi Baramidze, a leader of the National Movement, was recently arrested at his home by representatives of the Prosecutor's Office. As Baramidze stated at the time of his arrest, he was told that he was being detained for "treason against Georgia." A briefing is scheduled at the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia for 19:00.
