A minor identified as D.P., who was arrested for the aggravated murder of 17-year-old Davit Narimanidze on Khudadov Street in Tbilisi, has been remanded in custody as a pre-trial measure.

The decision was made by Valerian Bugianishvili, a judge of the Tbilisi City Court.

The prosecution had requested the strictest measure of restraint - detention - for the suspect. As for the defense, the lawyers agreed with the prosecution’s motion.

For reference, the minor D.P. has been charged under Subparagraph “f” of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - intentional murder committed with a hooligan motive - which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
