"South Ossetia" is not ready for a transit route with Georgia.

This was stated by Marat Kambolov, the so-called acting "president" of occupied Tskhinvali.

"I was asked about opening the border with Georgia for transit through our republic. Let me state this directly: South Ossetia is not yet ready for this—neither morally nor in terms of the regulatory framework. For our nation, the issue of security is linked to the war we endured and the losses we suffered. Any decisions here require solid guarantees. Economic benefit cannot be more important than people's safety," Kambolov said.
