The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the "Lindsey Graham bill" on sanctions against Russia, according to Politico. 262 congressmen supported the bill, while 159 voted against it.

Now, U.S. President Donald Trump must sign the bill into law.

Notably, the U.S. Senate had previously supported the bill on August 7, with a vote of 86 to 11.

The bill—authored by the late Senator Lindsey Graham (Republican Party) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (Democratic Party)—would authorize U.S. President Donald Trump to impose 100% tariffs on the five largest importers of Russian oil and natural gas, as well as on five countries that assist Russia in circumventing energy sanctions. The bill also provides for extending the duration of sanctions against Iran and imposing sanctions on Russian officials, banks, and the "shadow fleet."
