Individuals convicted in the October 4 case — doctor Giorgi Chakhunashvili and Zakro Albutashvili — have reached plea agreements.
Under the plea agreement, Zakro Albutashvili admitted to the crime and was sentenced to four years in prison, of which one year is to be served in custody and three years are suspended.
Doctor Giorgi Chakhunashvili also reached a plea agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office. Under the agreement, he admitted to the crime and was sentenced to three years, three months and two days in prison, of which three years are suspended.
Pediatrician Giorgi Chakhunashvili was released from the courtroom of the Court of Appeals.
