Updated lawsuit, in which Georgian Dream seeks a ban on Giorgi Gakharia’s political force - alongside other parties, filed with Constitutional Court
Georgian Dream has petitioned the Constitutional Court regarding a ban on the Gakharia for Georgia party.
The Parliament’s press service confirmed to InterPressNews that the updated constitutional lawsuit has already been submitted to the Constitutional Court.
Georgian Dream states that the former Prime Minister’s party "recognizes neither the constitutional order nor the legitimacy of the government" and that, "under these circumstances, it differs in no way from the spirit of the activities of the others."
Notably, Georgian Dream had previously filed a constitutional lawsuit seeking to have the activities of the National Movement, Coalition for Change, Strong Georgia – Lelo, and the Federalists declared unconstitutional and banned.
