Ireland has deported 43 Georgian citizens, according to the Irish Department of Justice.

The Department of Justice reported that those deported to Georgia included 33 men, 7 women, and a family with three children.

Irish police noted that four of the deported men had been convicted of various crimes.

"I would like to note that the vast majority of Georgian citizens live in the country legally and make a positive contribution to Irish society," stated Jim O'Callaghan, Ireland's Minister for Justice.

The flight from Dublin Airport to Tbilisi took place on Sunday, September 20.

According to the Irish government, the cost of chartering the aircraft and the flight itself amounted to €225,575.
