Gogi Abuashvili has stepped down as Mayor of Mtskheta municipality.

According to reports, he resigned from the mayoral post based on a personal application.

It is worth noting that Gogi Abuashvili was elected Mayor of Mtskheta Municipality in the 2025 local self-government elections. He had been nominated as a candidate by the Georgian Dream party.
