Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of Strong Georgia – Lelo, states that restoring trust between Georgians and Abkhazians is a necessary condition for our shared future.

Marking the 33rd anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi, the leader of the Strong Georgia coalition pays tribute to the heroes who died in the war in Abkhazia and declares that territorial integrity is a shared national cause.

As Khazaradze writes in a statement posted on social media, for a united and strong Georgia, we need a powerful state with an unwavering European course, a strong economy, a strong military, and free citizens.

“September 27 is one of the most tragic days for our country and for every Georgian.

We pay tribute to our heroes who fell in the war in Abkhazia and to those who paid the ultimate price of war.

Georgia’s territorial integrity is our shared national cause, and restoring trust between Georgians and Abkhazians is a necessary condition for our shared future.

For a united, strong Georgia, we need a strong state with an unwavering European path, a strong economy, a strong army, and free people,” writes Khazaradze.
