By a government decision, Tbilisi City Hall has been authorized to make simplified procurements worth up to GEL 3,114,727.28 for events planned to mark the Tbilisoba holiday.

The government decree was published today, although it is dated September 18.

According to the document, Tbilisi City Hall has been authorized to procure, through a simplified procurement procedure, the goods and services required for events planned to mark Tbilisoba 2026, up to GEL 3,114,727.28, using allocations provided for in the 2026 budget of the Tbilisi municipality.

The decision cites the relevant provision of Georgia’s Law on State Procurement, which allows simplified procurement to ensure the uninterrupted organization of events of state and public importance within limited timeframes.

For reference, Tbilisoba will be celebrated on October 3 and 4 at five locations across the capital. Along with Rike Park and Orbeliani Square, visitors will be able to attend events at Gudiashvili Square, Legvtakhevi, Europe Square and Metekhi Bridge.
