Aluda Ghudushauri on IRI survey: "This survey fails to reflect reality. We all know very well that the ruling political force's rating is significantly higher; furthermore, it is hard to imagine that 16% would support actions directed against the country"

"This survey does not reflect reality—simply put, the results are surprising. We all know well that our rating as the ruling political force is much higher; if calculated via allocation, it falls within the 60% range," stated Georgian Dream MP Aluda Ghudushauri. He responded to information shared by Aleksandre Rakviashvili, a leader of the Free People's Party, who noted that "according to the IRI survey, Georgian Dream holds 36%—twice the combined total of the opposition—while Lelo does not even register in the polls."

According to Ghudushauri, the results regarding the opposition are also implausible, as he finds it "hard to imagine that 16% of Georgia's population would support actions directed against the country and their own people."

"Where is the opposition? I would be very grateful if you could find that 'real' opposition—the one that labels itself as radical and 'principled.' The Georgian people cannot find it. Throughout their political careers, these individuals have never stood with Georgia or the Georgian people; instead, they have aligned themselves with narrow party interests and malevolence, positioning themselves right where a fierce assault against the state was taking place. That is why, naturally, you cannot find these people—these so-called political entities—today.

As for the survey, I would say it fails to reflect reality, simply because the results are surprising. While the aggregate figure shows this group of 'collective radicals' at 16%, I find this implausible; it is hard to imagine that 16% of Georgia's population would support actions directed against their own country and people. Furthermore, we all know very well that our rating as the ruling political force is significantly higher—around 60% when calculated via allocation. And most importantly: I know these people are stirring up a commotion right now, but I would urge everyone to calm down and settle matters. There is no need to create unnecessary hype; there is one simple solution: elections will be held in 2028, and that is where the Georgian people—and we—will be waiting for them.

Of course, this applies to those whose actions pass the constitutional test and who remain in the political arena. The Georgian people are waiting for them, and that is where they will see that—yes—their support levels, even according to this survey, are significantly lower, whereas public support for the ruling political force is far higher," stated Aluda Ghudushauri.
