Following a meeting with Sergey Lavrov, so-called Foreign Minister of occupied Abkhazia states that relations with Russia are at an "all-time high"

The so-called "Foreign Minister" of occupied Abkhazia met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Russian state media reports.

Specifically, Lavrov stated that Russia sees great potential for cooperation with occupied Abkhazia in the investment sector.

"We see great potential for cooperation in the investment sphere. As the first Abkhazian International Economic Forum demonstrated, we will continue to develop this area. It is gratifying that trade turnover increased by 16% last year—these are very good figures," Lavrov said.

According to Lavrov, occupied Abkhazia remains a popular destination for Russian tourists.

Oleg Bartsits, the so-called "Foreign Minister" of the occupied region, stated that relations with Russia are at an "absolute all-time high."

“First of all, I would like to speak about economic relations. Large-scale infrastructure projects with great potential are being implemented. Today, the international airport’s operations are improving and expanding in scale. I would like to cite some figures: over the past year and a half, our airport has already handled 200,000 passengers. This represents significant added value for the economic stabilization and development of Abkhazia,” stated Bartsits.
