EU Delegation: Paweł Herczyński announced new projects with a total budget of €38 million running through 2026

Following the opening of the Europe Day event in Telavi, EU Ambassador to Georgia Paweł Herczyński announced new projects with a combined budget of €38 million.

According to the EU Delegation, the Europe Day initiative visited the Kakheti region to better acquaint the local population with the European Union.

As for the €38 million, these funds will be directed toward supporting Georgian citizens, families, and communities across the country.

“Under the 'EUwithYou' program, projects based on a 30-year partnership will expand education and employment opportunities, support households, and improve food quality; they will also support the development of small towns and villages, enhance women's economic empowerment, support youth and vulnerable citizens—including those in Abkhazia—and improve environmental protection. This new assistance reaffirms the European Union's commitment to the Georgian people and Georgia's European path," reads the statement.

As for the event titled "My Europe. My Future," it was held at the Mosmieri Winery.

"Europe Day in Kakheti brought together staff from the EU Delegation and EU member states, representatives of EU-funded projects, partners, and local residents. Through culture, cuisine, dialogue, and interactive activities, guests learned about the opportunities created by cooperation between the EU and Georgia and how citizens are supported across the country," reads the statement.
