Rikard Jozwiak: The EU has some interest in cooperation with Georgia below the political level on issues such as connectivity

Rikard Jozwiak, Europe Editor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, said EU foreign ministers held a brief discussion on Georgia today.

“Essentially, their position remains unchanged: there is significant political backsliding in the country, but there is some interest in cooperation below the political level on issues such as connectivity,” Jozwiak wrote on social media.

According to Jozwiak, a more extensive discussion among the ministers is expected in January.
