Grigol Gegelia: Kobakhidze sees “foreign masters” everywhere because he himself serves external forces

Irakli Kobakhidze reportedly said in response to my briefing that “Strong Georgia – Lelo” lacks arguments and therefore appeals to foreign partners. Kobakhidze sees “foreign masters” everywhere because he himself serves external forces every day, Grigol Gegelia, foreign secretary of “Strong Georgia – Lelo,” wrote on social media.

According to Gegelia, “Strong Georgia – Lelo” will present its legal arguments before the Constitutional Court and call on international partners to support the interests of the Georgian nation.

“I would like to remind the Prime Minister, who was endorsed by \(Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria\) Zakharova, that unlike him, I serve the interests of my nation, not those of an occupying power. By the historic decision of the Georgian people, these interests are closely intertwined with the European family.

“Kobakhidze sees ‘foreign masters’ everywhere because he himself serves external forces every day. It is clear that he is fully in sync with Maria Zakharova and repeats Kremlin messages with split-second precision. That is why the Kremlin’s parrot sees ‘secret calls from the deep state,’ foreign instructors, and orders everywhere. Independent existence, love for one’s homeland, and principles are alien to him.

“If there is anything unconstitutional in this country today, it is Kobakhidze and his regime above all. They are the ones who have usurped the constitutional order and all branches of government, changed the foreign policy orientation enshrined in the Constitution, and now seek to abolish political forces chosen by more than one million Georgians. The lawsuit itself is unconstitutional: it undermines Georgia’s European choice, lacks legal justification, relies on fabricated facts, and is politically motivated.

“‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ will present its legal arguments before the Constitutional Court and call on international partners to support the interests of the Georgian nation. As for Kobakhidze and the other traitors who are committing a grave crime against the Georgian state today, the Georgian nation will hold them to account in the ultimate court of judgment.

“Finally, regarding the arguments: if Kobakhidze has any arguments, it is unclear why he keeps avoiding the repeatedly proposed debates on foreign policy. Why is he so afraid of sitting face-to-face with us? Is it because he is not prepared to hear the bitter truth and genuine arguments?!” Gegelia wrote.
