Tornike Cheishvili: Yesterday’s day showed us that we are dealing with anti-constitutional formations - the spirit that they displayed in the session hall speaks of nothing else but the fact that they do not recognize the constitutional order

Yesterday’s day showed us that in their person we are dealing unequivocally with anti-constitutional formations, since the spirit that was displayed in the session hall on their part can speak of nothing else but the fact that they are putting the final seal on the fact that they do not recognize the constitutional order, — Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Tornike Cheishvili stated.

According to him, “the forces represented in the role of the respondent in the Constitutional Court are trying to maximally delay the process.”

“In principle, as was to be expected, the agency forces that in this case are represented in the role of the respondent in the Constitutional Court are trying to maximally delay the specific stages so that the central part of the substantive consideration, which implies the giving of explanations, which implies question-and-answer, debate and the corresponding conclusions, is delayed as much as possible. This in this case implies and speaks to the fact that they are in reality very afraid of this constitutional process, of the constitutional lawsuit. Who if not they know perfectly well about those unconstitutional actions that have been committed by them over the years at various times. This is connected both with the years 2003–2012 and, of course, with the period after 2012.

In reality, yesterday’s day once again, of course, also showed us that in their person we are dealing unequivocally with anti-constitutional formations, since the spirit that was displayed in the session hall on their part can speak of nothing else but the fact that they are indeed signing and putting the final seal on the fact that they do not really recognize the constitutional order; for them the constitutional system, the independence of the country, or other important principles and values that are regulated by the Constitution of Georgia are worth a straw,” Tornike Cheishvili stated.
