Elene Khoshtaria: It is heartening to see the opposition united – we are very strong together!

Elene Khoshtaria, a detained politician and one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, has issued a statement praising the opposition’s unity and professionalism during the ongoing proceedings at the Constitutional Court.

Khoshtaria said that seeing opposition parties stand together gives those held in prison renewed hope and strength.

“As someone held in a cell, as a political prisoner, I want to address the opposition and tell them that watching the ongoing proceedings, their professionalism, ethics, moral authority, knowledge, competence and, above all, their commitment to the truth give us great hope and strength.

“It is also very heartening to see the opposition standing together, especially in a common cause that is both just and truthful.

“You cannot imagine how much strength you give those of us behind bars.

“It is a difficult process, and we will face many obstacles ahead, but together we are very strong!” Khoshtaria wrote.
