According to Russian reports, two Georgian dairy processing enterprises will be able to enter the Russian market

Starting in November 2026, two Georgian dairy processing enterprises will be able to enter the Russian market, according to a statement released by Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).

The agency reported that its representatives participated in a regional seminar organized by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on strengthening regulatory systems for veterinary products, which took place in Tbilisi from October 20 to 22.

The statement notes that, on the sidelines of the seminar, representatives from Rosselkhoznadzor and the National Food Agency of Georgia held a meeting. During the discussion, the parties explored expanding cooperation and increasing bilateral trade in livestock products, including the potential for introducing new types of products into the markets of both countries.

“Starting in November 2026, two Georgian dairy processing enterprises will be able to enter the Russian market. Following a request from the competent Georgian authority—which included guarantees that the products manufactured by these companies comply with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union—and based on an analysis of the submitted data, the Service has petitioned the competent authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union to approve the inclusion of these enterprises in the register of facilities from third countries,” reads the statement.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian side has also expressed its readiness to inspect six Georgian fish and seafood processing enterprises that wish to supply their products to Russia. Provided that the inspections are conducted in a timely manner and no violations are identified, these companies will be able to bring their fish products onto the Russian market.
