Irakli Kirtskhalia on the opposition rally: After foreign funding was restricted for the agency, we saw how the so-called momentum fizzled out and vanished

"After foreign funding was restricted for the agency, we saw how the so-called momentum fizzled out and vanished," stated the Parliamentary Majority Leader, Irakli Kirtskhalia, commenting on the rally organized by the "Opposition Alliance."
According to Irakli Kirtskhalia, the protest rallies in the country were built upon "orders and dirty funding."
"We always said that the rally had no foundation; these rallies were built on nothing. They were built solely on one thing: orders and dirty funding. The public saw very well what kind of funding it was and what it was used for, including through the findings established by the investigation," Irakli Kirtskhalia stated.
In addition, Irakli Kirtskhalia spoke about the topics discussed during the majority meeting. According to him, they reviewed the agenda for the parliamentary plenary session as well as various ongoing issues, including the proceedings in the Constitutional Court regarding the law on banning political parties.
In Kirtskhalia's assessment, today was very important in the Constitutional Court because "all speculative questions were answered at once for the public."
"We discussed various ongoing issues, as well as the agenda for the plenary session. We covered all the topical issues we currently face inside and outside the country. As you know, the most topical issue this week as well will be the Constitutional Court, the ongoing process there, the lawsuit, and the hearings, which the entire public is watching live. Politically, we reviewed the developments we are observing. As you know, four MPs from our side are representing this lawsuit.
Today was one of the important days; both sides had the opportunity to speak and present their arguments surrounding this lawsuit. Very boldly and sincerely, [I say that] the statement made by our representative was paramount, and all speculative questions were answered at once for the public. The process continues, and it is very good that there is high interest.
On our part, both in drafting the lawsuit and in every position we hold, we are doing our utmost and everything required on our side—whether in substantiating the lawsuit or articulating all of this—so that the country can once and for all break out of the cycle of agency network activities on the opposition flank," Irakli Kirtskhalia stated.
