Elections are being banned in the country! Choice is being banned so that Georgia is not what the population wants from time to time, but guaranteed to be what Russia needs from time to time – with this lawsuit history is to be rewritten and Russia is to become a “peacekeeper” again. “Before I share my opinion on the Constitutional Court with you, I must make one, in my view, very important correction: it is not 5, but 7 parties that are being banned. Technically, because of the ‘Kotsi’ laws, ‘Girchi’ and ‘Droa’ became part of the party ‘Akhali,’ however in reality these are 3 parties. Let us not use ‘Kotsi’ numbers – all registered pro-Western parties are being banned. Now let us ask the question: what does ‘is being banned’ mean? Physically they cannot ban people, politicians, including even by putting them in prison. This is clearly visible. Accordingly, what they are able to ban is the participation of these parties in elections, that is, we have arrived at the main issue – elections are being banned in the country! Choice cannot be banned. The choice of an opposition citizen either exists or does not. If it does not exist, this means that no citizen has it either. Now let us ask the second question: why is the choice of citizens being banned? – the answer is on the surface, because the citizens of Georgia are supporters of freedom, of Georgia’s European identity, and such people are unacceptable for Russians, including for Georgian Russians.
The second conclusion – choice is being banned so that Georgia is not what the population wants from time to time, even against the backdrop of acute internal political confrontations, but guaranteed to be what Russia needs from time to time. Here, in the same process, the Russians want to correct those given circumstances that independent Georgia created for its own sovereignty. This is a series of international legal victories over Russia, related to the parties to the war, Georgia’s territories, and international peacekeeping components. For example, in the 2000s the sovereign government of Georgia achieved Russia’s status as an occupier and a criminal in the war, an aggressor, which in the future will return the territories to us. With this lawsuit on the ban of parties, all these achievements are to be erased, history is to be rewritten, and Russia is to become a ‘peacekeeper’ again.
