Party Droa on Russia’s designation of the party as an “undesirable organization”: “We are using this honorable opportunity to once again declare: Abkhazia and Samachablo are Georgia! Glory to the heroes! Ivanishvili’s regime is Russian!”

Party Droa on Russia’s designation of the party as an “undesirable organization”: “We are using this honorable opportunity to once again declare: Abkhazia and Samachablo are Georgia! Glory to the heroes! Ivanishvili’s regime is Russian!”

“We are using this honorable opportunity to once again declare: Abkhazia and Samachablo are Georgia! Glory to the heroes! Ivanishvili’s regime is Russian!” This is how the political party Droa responded to the decision of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office to designate the party as an undesirable organization.

Droa explains what the Russian investigative authorities accuse the party of:

“What we are ‘accused’ of:

- Recognizing Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region as territories occupied by Russia, and Russia as a violator of international law and Georgia’s sovereignty;- Exposing the Ivanishvili regime’s covert relations with Russia;- Working to put an end to the one-party system in Georgia;- Promoting the idea of Georgia’s accelerated integration into the European Union;- Actively supporting the Ukrainian government, advocating close cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine, and supporting the country’s participation in the ‘Carpathian Eight’ (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Romania, and the Czech Republic);- And finally, because Droa’s leader, Elene Khoshtaria, accuses Georgian Dream of supporting a pro-Russian course and derailing the European integration process.

We are using this honorable opportunity to once again declare: Abkhazia and Samachablo are Georgia! Glory to the heroes! Ivanishvili’s regime is Russian!

We will put an end to Ivanishvili’s Russian regime in Georgia! Georgia will become a member of the European Union and NATO!” the party Droa said in its statement.

For reference, according to Russian media reports, Russia has designated the political party Droa as an “undesirable organization.” The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office stated that the party’s activities were declared “undesirable” due to its “Russophobic views.”
